do you think it has something to do with that program and how do i fix it. i know it isn’t a major prob but i would like to keep them aligned.

I’m using MySQL and the table I’m populating is estimated to be physically more than 100Gb. My laptop alone cannot handle the insertion. I have multiple insert statements and each takes too long. I got some old desktop computers and was supposed to create a MySQL cluster to make the queries faster.

From what I know, MySQL clusters are used for database redundancy and that index keys are stored in memory. I don’t think implementing this is the way to go. (Correct me on that)

What can I do? How can I grid compute this?

I cannot get high performance servers, my best bet to have a lot of computing power is to use these desktop computers I have at hand. My problem is how to use them for this..
